At JMK Wood Creations we use only the best hardwoods. We use a supplier that kiln dries the wood so you can expect the driest wood. Because wood contracts and expands to the environment you can expect very little movement which we accommodate for during the building process. We also use epoxy to fill in natural voids and cracks or if the client wants, we can use epoxy to square up edges and large voids.

Hard woods are used because they take more abuse than soft woods, which will hold up better overtime.
Tips for Maintaining your Custom Piece
Most projects will be finished with a Hard-Wax Oil finish with either Rustic Lumber, Rubio Monocoat or Osmo. We suggest, like with most wood projects to clean them with a damp rag then use a furniture oil to maintain the wood.
If you want the best prolonged use out of your furniture we do recommend Black Forest Ceramic coating and N3 Nano finishing. These ceramic products are specifically designed to help resist everyday use, are heat, UV, water, oil and chemical resistant.
